Alison Maxwell is a fine art photographer. Through an experimental lens, she explores the concepts of gender and sexuality in Western society. In this body of work, she compares the micro to the macro, and challenges the ideas of modern identity through an exploration of self and the universe. Her work has a very tangible quality; she uses different textural materials, which invites an intimate experience between her work and the viewer.
