Angela Deluce believes that every person is a unique soul who deserves to be captured on camera so that they will be remembered. She makes this happen by capturing them in her elegant and simple style, reminiscent of classic portraiture. She has a knack for getting the person in front of her to let down their guard and to do away with their notion of how they should look in order to capture them in an honest and beautiful way. Everyone that has posed for her, she believes, is someone unique who has stories to tell. This series of work was done while she lived aboard a Tall Ship for a summer. She found that spending months living and working among the crew allowed her to document them in a way that only an insider could.
