Chris “five” Brown is an action sports and documentary photographer. Chris’s background in slowing down fast moving and often chaotic subjects has taught him the importance of split-second timing. He is also passionate about using the moments outside of the action to further develop narratives with the athlete and with the viewer. Chris’s images are raw and authentic, giving the viewer an honest portrayal of the subject. This work focuses on the ethics surrounding bike theft and the phenomena of abandoned bicycles in large urban settings. This series considered the motives and impact of bike theft along with providing a how-to guide that shows both the preventative and the nefarious.
