Over the past three years, Faras Ali has experimented with portraiture, fine art, and contemporary fashion photography and has developed a unique, alluring, and ethereal style to his work. He has taken the time to fine tune and understand his photographic approach, and has researched ideas of photographic construction, which has added diversity to his work. His thesis study focuses on invasive species, incorporating the common reed Phragmites into his portraiture.
