Joslyn Panasiuk is a GTA-based portrait photographer. This ongoing series – category: HUMAN – focuses on challenging society’s view of transgender men. Joslyn uses tilt-shift lensing and motion blur to distort some characteristics of her subjects, thereby frustrating her viewer in their attempts to gender-identify the subject. In doing so, she can express her personal frustration with the ways in which the trans masculine community has been unfairly stereotyped. She feels it is our responsibility to listen and accept how someone wants to be seen.
