Identity is a historically and socially constructed concept that enables an individual to be recognized within society. This work explores these notions through multimedia printing techniques; these prints are manipulated in post-production using both embroidery and found materials. This introspective journey of identity has brought Julia closer to an understanding of self and family. From a young age, Julia watched her grandmother master embroidery skills and is dedicating these creations in memory of her.
