In every relationship, there are proximities and distances traversed internally, by each individual. This project began as a reflection of self, and the relationships forged throughout our lifetimes. The photographs taken for Yen became as exploratory and supplementary as the research and experiences collected. The connections between two individuals cannot be characterized by physical nor emotional distance, more so it is defined by the spaces we create and is catalyzed by introspective thought.
